  • All Renewal students who have received Reference number in their registered mobile numbers should generate OTR only through this reference number only. They need not register as new student in the portal again.
  • NSP services are now available at Common Service Centres (CSCs). Students can avail the scholarship related services by visiting the nearby CSCs.   • Dear Student , if you are getting error 904 while doing face authentication, kindly update UIDAI AadhaarFACERD App from PlayStore.
  • Kindly ensure that the Biometric Lock / Unlock status should be as “Unlocked” for authentication in Aadhaar. To lock or unlock the Biometric in Aadhaar, please click on the “Lock/Unlock Aadhaar” option on myAdhaar web portal(please refer to the link: https://resident.uidai.gov.in/bio-lock).   • One Time Registration (OTR) is a unique number allotted to the student and is applicable for entire academic career on National Scholarship Portal.
  • OTR is required to apply for the scholarships on National Scholarship Portal from AY 2025-26.
  • OTR can be generated using Aadhaar/Aadhaar Enrollment number(EID)

www.scholarships.gov.in Scholarship 2025-26 offers multiple scholarship schemes, including pre-matric, post-matric, and merit-cum-means scholarships, benefiting students from minority communities, economically weaker sections, and those with disabilities. NSP Scholarship 2025-26 application forms will be available from 01 January 2025 onwards for both pre-matric and post-matric scholarship schemes at the official NSP Scholarship portal www.scholarships.gov.in.

  1. Indira Gandhi Scholarship for single girl child: INR 36,200 per year 
  2. MHRD Scholarship: INR 12,000 per year for nine standard 
  3. PG NSP: INR 150,000 annually for 2 years
  4. College & University schemes: INR 12,000 annually (1st to 3rd year) and INR 20,000 annually (4th and 5th year).

NSP Scholarship is a SMART scholarship that offers its name SMART a simplified, mission-focused, accountable, responsive and transparent process for an efficient disbursal of the scholarship and direct funding of the scholarship amount to the beneficiary account. 

NSP Post Matric Scholarship 2025 

The National Scholarship Portal (NSP) Post Matric Scholarship is a government initiative aimed at supporting students from economically weaker sections to pursue higher education. This scheme is designed to benefit students from minority communities, SC, ST, OBC and those with disabilities, enabling them to complete post-secondary education without financial constraints. To get the Post Matric Scholarship, students must be studying in Class 11 or above, including undergraduate, postgraduate, or technical programs.

  4. Choose the “Renewal” option.

The NSP Scholarship Renewal process ensures continuity of financial aid for eligible students. Applicants must log in to scholarships.gov.in, select their state, and provide previously registered details. Avoid duplicate applications to prevent rejection. Eligible students need to provide their bank account details and their previously registered date of birth (as entered during the initial application).
